The Minister of Finance, Felipe Larraín, appointed economist Paulina Yazigi as a new member of the Sovereign Wealth Funds’ Financial Committee (FC), entity that is responsible for advising the Minister of Finance on fundamental aspects of the funds’ investment policies. Yazigi officially took up the two-year position on Thursday, August 30th, 2018.
Paulina Yazigi holds a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from New York University, and a Master's degree in Macroeconomics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she also obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Yazigi has held important positions in several banks and financial institutions, starting as an analyst at Banco BBVA and then at Compass Group LLC.
Based in New York, USA, she later served as Vice President of Strategic Market Coordination at Banco BBVA, and as Vice President of Business Management for America at the same institution.
Back in Chile, Yazigi worked as a manager of several areas in IM Trust - Credicorp Capital from 2011 to 2017. In 2017, she accepted the position of investment manager in “Inversiones Nogaleda Family Office.”
Yazigi joins the FC, which is currently comprised by its Chairman, José De Gregorio, Vice Chairman Cristián Eyzaguirre, and counselors Jaime Casassus, Martín Costabal and Ricardo Budinich. These last two members were recently ratified for a new two-year term.
