Juan Pablo Rodríguez Oyarzún is a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and was a professor at its Law School.

He developed his career in the legislative field, public administration, and public policy analysis. In 2011, he served as a legislative advisor in the Chamber of Deputies and, between 2011 and 2014, as an analyst in the Ministry of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, participating in the processing and monitoring of legal initiatives and in the coordination of the Executive's legislative agenda.

Subsequently, he joined the P!ensa Foundation, where he held various roles until assuming its executive directorship, leading for more than a decade the development of studies and public policy proposals related to regional development and the modernization of the State. During that period, he was a columnist and panelist in various media outlets.
