Juan Andrés Fontaine Talavera
President
Mr. Fontaine holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master in Economics from the University of Chicago with doctorate studies at the same university. Currently, he works as an economic and financial consultant. He was Minister of Economy, Minister of Public Works, Director of Studies of the Central Bank of Chile and director of several companies. He has been Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Chile, and Visiting Professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He joined the Committee in August 2021.
Macarena Pérez Ojeda
Vice-President
Ms. Pérez holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently, she is a partner at Econsult, where she serves as Investment Advisor for families, individuals and institutions. She is also a board member of Bbosch, Fundación Mujer Impacta, Fundación la Fuente, member of the development council of Universidad Finnis Terrae and mentor at Women in Finance. She was General Manager of IM Trust AGF, Institutional Distribution Manager of IM Trust, Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Credicorp Capital, and member of the Board of Directors of Empresas Volcán S.A. and Credicorp Capital. She joined the Committee in August 2021.
Pablo Castañeda Navarrete
Counselor
Mr. Castañeda holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Chile and a Ph. D. in Economics from Boston University. He was Associate Dean of Adolfo Ibañez University Business School, Senior Economist of the Superintendence of Pensions and Advisor to the Ministry of Finance. He has been Professor at the University of Chile. Currently, he is Professor of Finance at Adolfo Ibañez University Business School and performs economic and financial consulting work. He joined the Committee in August 2022.
Nicolás Eyzaguirre Guzmán
Counselor
Mr. Eyzaguirre holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Economic Science, both from Universidad de Chile. Besides, he has a Master's degree in Economics from Harvard University with doctorate studies at the same university. He has been Finance Minister, Minister Secretary General of the Presidency and Education Minister for the Chilean Government, Manager and Research Director of the Central Bank of Chile, Executive Director and Director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund, Chairman of the National Innovation Council for Competitiveness, Chief Executive Officer of the Canal 13 group and Professor at Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Harvard University, among others. Currently, he is engaged in consulting work. He joined the Committee in August 2021.
Jennifer Soto Urra
Counselor
Ms. Soto holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Finance, both from Universidad de Chile. She currently serves as Director of different companies including Banco Bice, Bicecorp, Bicevida, Paz Corp and Fundacion Camino. In addittion, she is a Professor of the Master of Finance at Universidad de Chile and the Executive Master of Finance and Investment at the ESE Business School. Also, she is a member of the Circle of Directors and Women Corporate Directors. Previously, she was Fixed Income Manager at Bice Vida Compañía de Seguros. She joined the Committee in August 2022.
Marcela Valenzuela Bravo
Counselor
Ms. Valenzuela holds a degree in Civil Industrial Engineer and Master in Engineering Sciences, both from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Also, she has a Ph.D. in Finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently, she is a Professor at the School of Administration of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an Associate researcher at the Systemic Risk Center of The London School of Economics and Political Science and an Associate researcher at the Millennium Institute on Market Imperfections and Public Policies. Also, she was a Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Chile and a researcher at the Institute of Infrastructure and Environment at the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. She joined the Committee in August 2022.
